Ballet Arkansas provides children ages 3+ and adults with a wide array of summer classes, camps, workshops, and intensives in a variety of dance disciplines. Programs cater to both recreational and semi-professional dancers, and are designed to advance abilities, and foster creativity and self-discovery. Classes are taught by an expert faculty composed of the organization's artistic staff, dancers, and celebrated guest artists in the state-of-the-art facilities of Ballet Arkansas.

STORY TIME DANCE CAMP

Story Time Dance Camp is a delightful, week-long introduction to the enchanting world of dance with Ballet Arkansas for young dancers. Each session brings beloved fairy tales and classical ballets to life—from the magical fairies of The Nutcracker to the enchanting adventures of Cinderella—through engaging dance classes and imaginative storytelling.
Each week features a unique theme and concludes with an in-studio showcase for family and friends, celebrating each dancer’s creativity and progress. Participants must be 4 years old by June 1. While prior dance training is recommended, it is not required, and dancers are welcome to enroll in one or more weeks. Open enrollment for Ages 4 - 7 and recommended for Ballet Arkansas SFD Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet students.
JUNIOR INTENSIVE

Join Ballet Arkansas for an unforgettable summer filled with dance! These engaging week-long camps, led by our talented professional dancers and staff, are ideal for young dance enthusiasts looking to enhance their technique and explore choreography in a variety of styles. Campers will develop their skills, form lasting friendships, and immerse themselves in the inspiring world of dance. Each week concludes with a showcase for family and friends, highlighting their progress and providing a fun performance opportunity. A minimum of 2–3 years of dance training is recommended for this program. Participants must be at least 8 years old by July 1, and dancers are encouraged to attend both weeks for an even more enriching experience! Open enrollment for Ages 8-14 and recommended for Ballet Arkansas SFD Levels 1, 1/2, 2.

We’re excited to introduce a brand new Pointe Intensive, created for pre-professional ballet dancers ready to strengthen their pointe training. The week will focus on ballet and pointe technique, classical variations, and partnering classes — giving dancers valuable experience in classical partnering fundamentals. This intensive is ideal for pre-professional dancers looking to challenge themselves in a supportive, high-level training environment.
A dedicated pre-pointe track will also be offered for dancers ages 11+ — focusing on alignment, foot and ankle strength, and technical readiness to ensure a confident and healthy transition to pointe work. Video Audition for Ages 12-18 and recommended for Ballet Arkansas SFD 2/3+ (no audition required for SFD students approved for 2/3+).

Elevate your technique in just one week with a series of intensive master classes led by Ballet Arkansas's professional dancers and celebrated guest faculty! This program offers classes and workshops in ballet, pointe/men's technique, variations, conditioning, pilates/yoga, contemporary, and more. Sharpen your skills, refine your artistry, and receive personalized guidance to help you excel. With multiple levels and small class sizes, students enjoy individualized attention and the encouragement needed to advance their abilities. This camp is an excellent stand-alone program or the perfect preparation for the two-week Summer Intensive.
Registration & Placement
Ballet Arkansas's Summer Intensive Boot Camp is tailored to strengthen the skills of Intermediate and Advanced level dancers. To succeed in this program, a minimum of 3–5 years of dance training is recommended. Participants must be at least 10 years old by July 1. Dance photographs/videos may be requested for placement evaluation. Open enrollment for Ages 10-18 and recommended for Ballet Arkansas SFD Levels 2+.

The Ballet Arkansas multi-week Summer Intensive offers an unparalleled training experience for students ages 11 - 19, providing the opportunity to develop their skills across multiple disciplines under the guidance of a distinguished faculty. Led by Ballet Arkansas's Artistic Staff, company dancers, and renowned guest professionals, the program delivers expert instruction in ballet, pointe/men's technique, variations, contemporary, pilates/yoga, choreography, repertory, and audition preparation. With multiple levels and small class sizes, students receive personalized attention and encouragement to elevate their technique and artistry. The intensive concludes with a showcase performance on Friday, July 31, where participants can share their progress with family and friends.
