Over the past 42 years, hundreds of thousands of Arkansans have looked to Ballet Arkansas to celebrate the Holiday Season with their families. This year is no different. Join us for a series of holiday performances and activities, or shop the Holiday Market for the perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones! Most importantly, we'll announce the updates to our 2021 spring season, ways you can get involved, and exciting new plans for our beloved seasonal production of "The Nutcracker Spectacular."


Join Ballet Arkansas and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra on November 15th, for an innovative, open-air performance. Featuring 3 world premiere works choreographed by company dancers and choreographers, Matt Larson, Hannah Bradshaw, and Paul Tillman, the program brings together the best of movement and live music and is the beginning of a new era of collaboration between BA and ASO.

Experience the magic and beauty of dance and visual art as Ballet Arkansas and the Arkansas Arts Center transform Main Street into scenes from the beloved story of "The Nutcracker." The perfect winter combination of live dance performance, storytelling, and art history, the experience is unlike any other. The Magic of the Nutcracker brings joy to millions across the globe each year. Join Ballet Arkansas for a virtual Nutcracker experience featuring a past performance of "The Nutcracker Spectacular" including interviews with the Artistic Staff and performers. Join us for Clara's magical journey from the comfort of their own home.

Ballet Arkansas is seeking visual art submissions inspired by movement from artists k-12. Art work will be displayed online for the full month of December and noteworthy submissions will be highlighted across the organization's social media. 3 winners will be selected to design elements of the Ballet Arkansas 21/22 marketing materials and a grand prize winner will receive a scholarship to the Arkansas Arts Center Museum School.

The holidays wouldn't be the same without sweets! On Friday, December 4th, join the Sugar Plum Fairy for an evening of holiday baking, chatter, and cheer. You'll bake and decorate Mother Ginger's holiday cookies.

Children and adults hold stories of the holidays close to their hearts. Join the Sugar Plum Fairy and The Nutcracker, as together they read the some of the most celebrated Tales of Christmas. Tune into the premiere of each reading at 6:30pm on December 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. Filmed at the Historic Arkansas Museum in partnership with Cranford Co.

Today, we're pleased to announce a fresh holiday collaboration with the

Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA). "Sleighride Together" features 2 world-premiere pieces choreographed by Executive and Artistic Director Michael Fothergill and contemporary choreographer, Madison Hicks. "Sleigh Ride," an upbeat classic by American composer Leroy Anderson, and the harmonious "Hallelujah Chorus" from Mozart’s arrangement of the "Messiah" will accompany the works. The digital event is the start of an exciting new partnership! Tune in to Ballet Arkansas' Facebook for the premiere. The video will be available on our YouTube channel following the premiere.

On Christmas Eve, UA - Pulaski Tech: The Center for Humanities and Arts and Ballet Arkansas come together to present a few excerpts from the celebrated holiday classic, "The Nutcracker." As part of the brand new Off The CHARTS series from UA-PTC CHARTS Theater. The short digital program will air at 6:00 pm on CHARTS YouTube.
