Ballet Arkansas will hold auditions for its 2010-2011 SeasonAuditions for future company members and trainees will be held: Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Dallas Ballet Center, 8530 Abrams Road, Dallas, Texas 75243 and on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Shuffles & Ballet II, 1521 Merrill Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. Dancers must be at least 18 years old with advanced ballet technique and performing experience; female dancers must dance on pointe. Other dance techniques and skills, such as partnering, jazz, modern, tumbling and hip-hop, although not required are strongly considered in the selection process. Headshot, dance photo and resumé required. References should be listed on the resumé. |
March 6, 2010Come Dancin 2010Ballet Arkansas is pleased to announce the return of its annual fundraiser Come Dancin’. This year, the festivities will include dance lessons taught by Ballet Arkansas’ Professional Dance Company. With music by The Dizzy Seven, there will be a variety of dance styles to enjoy including ballroom and salsa. The Arthur Murray Dance Studio will assist the Company in teaching the salsa dancing. Additionally, this year there will be Live Art created and auctioned at the event, as well as a silent auction for guests to enjoy. This fun night of dancing will be Saturday, March 6 at 7:00 P.M. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Grand Ballroom (1100 Napa Valley Drive, Little Rock, AR). Tickets to the event will be $50 per person, with a party rate of $35 per person for reservations of 10 or more. Guest will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails during the event. April 16, 2010Ballet Arkansas Golf Classic 2010Ballet Arkansas Golf Classic at Rebsamen Golf Course on April 16, 2010 will have a 8:30 shotgun start. Enjoy coffee and donuts at 7:30 while you check in and warm up. Lunch starts at 12:00 for guests and volunteers at the end of each round. Prizes will be awarded for long drive (2) and closest to the pin (2). We will recognize the best teams (flighted) as well as the team with the highest score.
