![]() Arleen Sugano |
Arleen Sugano, Artistic Director, is a renowned performer, choreographer, teacher and director. Among her teaching credits, Sugano has taught at the Joffrey Ballet School (American Ballet Center) in New York City, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, Penn., Lula Washington Dance Academy/Company in Los Angeles, and the University of North Texas at Denton. She is co-author of The Physics of Dance: Second Edition . Holding a master's degree in choreography, Sugano created "Snapshots: siblings' journey", a contemporary ballet trio for Ballet Arkansas' 2008 Arts in Concert, "Winter"/"Kyrie Eleison" for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in 2007, and "Counterpointe", a contemporary pointe ensemble for 40 dancers in 2006, as well as numerous other works throughout her 30-year career. Sugano is known for her scientifically based classical ballet training. |
![]() Jonathan Bostick |
Jonathan Bostick moved to Little Rock in 2008 to receive extensive training from his mentor, Arleen Sugano. Originally from Texas, Jonathan has received his B.F.A in Dance with a concentration in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas. In 2004, Jonathan toured nationally with Sally's Beauty Supply as a part of their stage show. In 2006, his choreographic works, Lies My Parents Told Me, was selected to be performed at the American College Dance Festival Association. Jonathan has studied and performed with Repertory Dance Theatre based in Salt Lake City. In addition to teaching around Little Rock, he has performed in multiple dance concerts and impersonated Barack Obama in GridIron. |

Case Dillard, a native Arkansan, received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University. Having trained at Joffrey Ballet and Virginia School of Arts, he went on to perform with the original Broadway cast of Mary Poppins. He is no stranger to Arkansas having roles in The Rep's productions of ''Damn Yankees'', ''Othello'', ''Anything Goes'', ''The Tempest'', ''Gypsy'', and ''Cinderella''. He has taught at TexARTS, The University of Texas and Saint Edwards, and has been a choreographer for The Zach Scott Theatre and Big Range Dance Festival. |

Lauren McCarty, a native Arkansan, received her BFA in Dance Performance from Butler University. She currently trains at Dance Kaleidoscope under David Hochoy. She has performed in Cats at the Theatre at the Center as Victoria, was a Principle in Les Sylphides for Sawnee Ballet Theatre, a soloist in Sleeping Beauty, Parish Symphony and The Nutcracker for Butler Ballet. She teaches ballet at Dance Experience and Dance Refinery in Indiana. |

Grace Tilley, a native Arkansan, has trained with Arleen Sugano, Melinda Tobian, Oliver Munoz, Kirt and Linda Hathaway and Laura Hupp. She attended on scholarship, The Rock School Summer Intensive and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She has received Gerald R. Barnes Award for Excellence in Ballet. She has performed the role of Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker for North Arkansas Dance Theatre, in Arkansas Symphony’s Orchestra Christmas Spectacular and Abilene Symphony’s Orchestra Christmas Spectacular. |

Paul Tillman, has trained with Dallas Ballet Center and attended Boston Ballet Summer Program. He joined Boston Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program from 2007-2008. He has performed with Boston Ballet in Night of Stars Gala, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet and The Nutcracker. He has played the roles of Nutcracker Prince, Waltz Soloist, Rat King and Snow King in The Nutcracker, as Jean de Brienn in Raymonda, Basil in Don Quixote and Conrad in Le Corsaire for Dallas Ballet Center. |

Kelsee Green, a native of Louisiana, was a principal dancer for Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet from 2007 through 2009. She has performed with the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet in The Nutcracker in principal roles of Snow Queen, Marzipan, Spanish and Russian and as a soloist in Cinderella. She has trained with Shreveport Dance Academy under Kendra Meiki and Elizabeth Moralies. She has also trained with Melissa Young of Dallas Black Theater. |
